Explore how early French settlers lived at the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas Rivers in the late 1700s. Re-enactors will interpret everyday life skills common on the frontier. Artisans will display custom made wares, both decorative and utilitarian, which were essential to these early settlers.

The Grand Fete Chez Lez Canses started as a annual event held at the Shoal Creek Living History Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2007, the Grand Fete Chez Lez Canses moved to its current home at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark, located in Sibley, Missouri. Each year people from around the Kansas City area gather to celebrate Kansas City's French History.
